Job Description

As a Quality Control Engineer at Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., you will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured two-wheeler products meet the highest quality standards. You will monitor and control the production process to identify quality issues early and implement corrective actions to ensure product excellence. Your role will also involve liaising with production teams to maintain a smooth workflow, ensure compliance with industry standards, and meet customer expectations for quality. You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the quality systems within the manufacturing process, identifying process improvements, and ensuring products adhere to safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Conduct quality checks on products and production processes to ensure they meet company and regulatory standards. Implement and maintain quality control procedures across the entire production line, including inspections, testing, and documentation. Identify and troubleshoot quality issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Work closely with production teams to ensure that defects are minimized and quality targets are met. Prepare and analyze quality reports, including defect rates, process improvements, and cost of quality. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing) to increase product quality and reduce waste. Train production staff on quality control processes and quality awareness. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of quality management standards (ISO, TS16949, etc.). Review and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations related to manufacturing processes. Collaborate with R&D teams to provide feedback on product designs and recommend changes to enhance manufacturability and quality. Support audits and inspections from regulatory bodies, customers, and third-party certifying organizations.
