Job Description

As a Product Development Engineer at Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of new two-wheeler products. You will work on all stages of the product lifecycle—from concept design through to prototype, testing, and final production. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, R&D, manufacturing, and marketing, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer requirements. You will be expected to innovate and bring in new technologies, ensuring that the products are safe, durable, and fuel-efficient while adhering to Honda's high standards of performance and design. Design and develop two-wheeler products including engines, chassis, suspension, and electrical systems. Conduct feasibility studies, detailed engineering, and prototyping of new product concepts. Perform product testing and analysis to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards. Collaborate with global teams at Honda for the development of new technologies and product features. Work on the integration of new technologies such as electric drivetrains, IoT for smart vehicles, and AI-based systems. Support the development of product specifications and manage the technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle. Conduct cost analysis and work on product optimization to meet cost targets. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to product performance, quality, and customer satisfaction. Liaise with suppliers and vendors for sourcing of materials and components as required. Ensure timely and successful product launches by working with various departments (manufacturing, testing, etc.).
